I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and currently live there with my husband, Darren, and my cat, Raina. I am a lifelong learner and am excited for the new skills and information I will learn during this PhD program.
I come from a close-knit family, who fully support me in my endeavours. Immediate family include my husband Darren, parents Gerald and Doreen, brother Marc, sister Sherilyn, brother-in-law Mike, and nephews Brayden and Matthew, as well as Mary, my mother-in-law.

Since 2014 I have worked for Conestoga College, and currently hold the position of Chair, Schools of Engineering & Technology and Trades & Apprenticeship. In this role, I manage the day to day operation of the college's precision machining, woodworking and aviation programs.
I served for 25 years with the Canadian Armed Forces - Cadet Instructors Cadre (Air Force). I held various positions including commanding officer of an air cadet squadron, senior instructor with the officer training school, and familiarization pilot at a gliding centre.
I love to travel and have visited over 25 different countries including Sweden, Ireland, Poland, Australia, Singapore, and Bhutan. Paper crafting (scrapbooking) provides a creative outlet for me to document my travels. I am also willing to attempt any baking recipe, and look forward to a Christmas Baking Bonanza with my friends every year.
